One of the best views in the land!

Originally opening as a subbranch in 1944, the RSA was housed in a moderate hall which was rebuilt in 1957 after a fire and ‘The Waihi Beach RSA Club’ began its premises journey opening a venue in 1981 in Brighton road.  

After a great collaboration from locals and members, The Waihi Beach RSA Club, where it stands today, was opened in 1999.  With wide sweeping views across the ocean to Mayor Island and Mt Maunganui, it really is one of the best views in the land!

Known for its excellent weather and beautiful beaches, Waihi Beach is an exciting holiday destination with plenty of events and activities, native bush to wander through and safe beach spaces for all ages.   Waihi township and the famous Martha Mine is a 10 min drive up the hill and another 5mins further to the Karangahake Gorge which offers some stunning walk and cycle ways.

Our restaurant, Gunners View, offers our well-known dinner carvery 7 days a week and a la carte menus for lunch and dinner daily.  The large bar space offers indoor and outdoor seating, with views across the bay or large TV screens to watch live latest sports games.

With an active membership of nearly 4500, we offer our members a range of activities to enjoy. These include Darts, 8 Ball, Snooker, Indoor Bowls and Outdoor Bowls, and RSA Women's Section.  There are many external clubs and groups that meet at the RSA on a weekly and monthly basis, have a look at our daily activities to see what's on. 

There is plenty of entertainment within our venue with bands on a regular basis, membership draw and raffles on Thursday nights, a 16-machine gaming room and TAB terminal.

There is space within our car park area for NZMCA certified self-contained camper vans where you can park for the night and enjoy the club facilities.  Campers must register at the bar on arrival and park behind the blue line. While anyone can come in to dine in our Restaurant, you MUST be a Member of our Club or an Affiliated Club or a guest of either to consume alcohol.
